The word you’re looking for is “disposable”. Because of the crazy licensing and inspection rules, it’s very expensive to keep a car on the road for more than a few years there, so they have a tendency to treat them as disposable.
Makes it dirt cheap to pick up a front clip, engine, or gray market import, but you also get horror stories of cars with straight tap water in the radiator, oil literally never changed, etc.

As much as I love Imprezas, just as a reminder.....the one you mention is a 1.5L engine model and is FWD only. :)
Being the weird, quirky person I am though, I would want one of these: http://www.goo-net-exchange.com/usedcars/SUZUK…

Screw that, it’s a clean Impreza Wagon, what more can you want!

Oh, I know! But if you did an engine/trans swap, it would come out to NOT being that cheap anymore, so... :(
There are decent prices on the 2.0L turbo wagons though! :)

Yup! Pretty awesome....then again, not sure where you are from, but couldn’t import that here in Canada until 2020...
